YAY!!!

YAY for me! Today I had my second interview at my new employers and later in the morning I received confirmation that I got the job. HURRAH!!! So I'll still be going to work on Monday and I'll still be able to have my holiday at the end of August.

However, how stupid is this. I went through the congestion zone this morning before 7AM. For those of you who don't know what the congestions zone is, it's an area of central London where you have to pay £8 (US$16, €10) to travel through. The idea is to reduce congestion, although I'm not certain how much it actually does that. Anyway, I drove through it and as I came out the other end and pulled up at the lights I noticed it was 7AM. Now, did I come out just in time or was I caught? Does it mean cause it says 7AM on my car that it's 7AM on thier servers? well to find out I called up and asked.
Oh why didn't I realise this wasn't going to be easy. They can't tell me if my car went through the zone today as the system isn't linked directly to their computers (pathetic if you ask me), but if I pay £8 to be on the safe side and it turns out I wasn't in the zone when the clocks turned 7AM then I can't get a refund.

WHAT SORT OF CRAPPY SYSTEM IS THAT???

So I've decided to take a chance and see what happens. And if they send a fine through then I will contest it as their systems aren't up to scratch.

Ah well, I suppose I can't have everything go my way today.
